How did you get into photography?

I'm a right-brained person that picked up a super nice camera about 12 years ago and fell in LOVE. The next day I spent all of my savings on a camera!

What's in your bag?

Canon 5D Mark4

85 mm 1.8

35 mm 1.4

What advice can you give me?

I am a big believer in positive thoughts! The best advice I can give is to always support your own work, and love yourself in every phase of life. The more you are on your own team, the happier you will be.

Get out and shoot as often as you can! I took as many collaborations as I could for years and years. If you are looking at other photos and find that you like them, ask yourself, "Why? What draws me to this image? Is it the coloring? Emotion? Mood? Layout?" The more questions you can ask yourself, the more you will grow in your own work.

Take photos now that you want to be paid to take later. Always grow your portfolio and don't be afraid to be different!

I can't tell you how many times I wanted to give up. It can be SO discouraging to want to make it and not be making it. I decided a long time ago that I would never give up, so I knew I had to make it eventually. Just keep trying. Stay positive. Keep away from comparing your work to others as much as you possibly can. Good things will come your way!

How did you learn?

I'm self-taught! I took a few classes here and there, but mostly I just learned while out and about with friends and models.

Do you sell your presets?

I don't sell them currently. I haven't decided yet if I will!
